After having water damage the SAM body ECU of my Smart Roadster Coupe, I had to source a replacement and wanted to ensure it didn't suffer the same fate. I sourced my repalcement through S2 Smarts, along with the engine ECU and guages as they are all linked.

I used Electrolube HPA200H to waterproof the SAM, it was easy to use and did a nice job. It glows under UV light, so you can see any missed spots.

The other side with fuses still in place. I mainly took this so I knew where they went when I put them back.

Hanging from the washing line outside after the coating was applied. Or before, it looks the same so there's no way to tell. I got hold of a UV LED torch so I could check the coverage and that really does show it up well.

After this I had no more issues with the moisture in the SAM, but I did also go through and seal up and potential leaky areas.
